Was the CQC meta before 1.17.0. Then Embark hit it with three nerfs at once: damage 7 to 6.5, headshot multiplier 2.5 to 1.75, and +50% per-shot dispersion. The headshot nerf is what killed it. Old Stitcher headshot TTK was insane. New Stitcher headshot only does 11.375 damage (6.5 x 1.75), making head-targeting barely worth it over body shots.

VERDICTStill functional in tight spaces but Bobcat outclasses it post-nerf. Watch the Canto — it may reshape the budget SMG conversation.

Bobcat fires faster (18 vs 12.5 shots/sec), has more bullets (30 vs 20), and wasn't nerfed. Bobcat is the better SMG now.

The Canto is the new medium-ammo SMG from Patch 1.22.0. If the fire rate is comparable, it may obsolete the Stitcher entirely — the Canto handles both Raiders and ARC in one weapon, eliminating the need for a Ferro backup. Stats pending verification.
