The first energy shotgun and the first weapon with variable firing modes in Arc Raiders. Confirmed: 0.8 rounds/sec (1.25s shot interval), 100-round energy clip, 2-shot kill through every shield tier in hip fire (practice range confirmed, body shots). ADS (focused beam) deals LESS damage than hip fire — 3 shots to kill Heavy Shield in ADS vs 2 shots hip fire. The Dolabra is the only weapon where aiming down sights reduces total damage. Hip fire (wide blast) kills faster than aimed fire (focused beam) at close range. Energy ammo puts it in its own ammo pool — no conflict with any other weapon.
| Shield | Body | Head |
|---|---|---|
| None | 2 | 2 |
| Light (Green) | 2 | 2 |
| Medium (Blue) | 2 | 2 |
| Heavy (Purple) | 2 | 2 |
Hip fire, body shots. 1.0x headshot multiplier means head = body. ADS vs Heavy = 3 STK (reduced damage in focused beam mode). Listed damage of 50 is likely per-pellet — a 2-shot kill through Heavy (80 HP, 52.5% mitigation) requires 106+ total damage per blast, so the Dolabra almost certainly fires multiple pellets per shot (pellet count pending wall-test confirmation).
Legendary — no tier progression. What you find is what you get. This is both its strength (no grinding) and its weakness (no improvement path).
Both are close-range shotguns. The Vulcano uses Shotgun ammo with fast semi-auto fire. The Dolabra uses Energy ammo with variable focus. The key question: does the Dolabra's focused mode match the Vulcano's raw TTK? If so, it offers ARC effectiveness the Vulcano doesn't have (Vulcano has Weak ARC pen). If not, the Vulcano remains the PVP shotgun king.
The Il Toro is the budget shotgun (Uncommon). The Dolabra is the premium energy shotgun (Legendary, blueprint from Close Scrutiny). The Il Toro uses Shotgun ammo; the Dolabra uses Energy. No ammo conflict — you could run both, but that's a lot of weight in CQC weapons.
Both use Energy ammo. The Equalizer is a beam rifle (long range, sustained damage). The Dolabra is a shotgun (close range, burst damage). They share an ammo pool, which matters: running both means Energy ammo scarcity. But they cover opposite ranges — a powerful all-Energy loadout for ARC hunting.
Embark specifically described the Dolabra as a way to 'punch through ARC armor plating.' The focused funnel mode is designed for ARC. Test against Bastions, Sentinels, and the Vaporizer. If it strips ARC armor faster than the Hullcracker at close range, it becomes the go-to CQC ARC weapon.
The Dolabra introduces two firsts: variable firing modes and energy shotguns. The wide burst vs focused funnel choice adds a layer of skill expression no other weapon has. But Legendary rarity means it's rare to find, can't be upgraded, and losing one hurts. Blueprint drops from Close Scrutiny. The real question: is this a 'bring to Close Scrutiny' weapon or an 'every raid' weapon? Stats pending verification.
The Dolabra Blueprint drops from the ARC Assessor during Close Scrutiny ARC Operations. This is the only confirmed source — multiple players confirmed it within hours of patch launch.
To get the Dolabra Blueprint: 1. Queue for a map with the Close Scrutiny condition active 2. Bring endgame gear — Vaporizers and heavy ARC patrols guard the Assessor 3. Fight through to the Assessor and loot it 4. The Blueprint is not guaranteed — multiple runs may be needed
Crafting cost (confirmed): - 3x Magnetic Accelerators - 3x Shredder Gyros - 2x Vaporizer Regulators - Requires Weapon Bench Level 3
Vaporizer Regulators drop from Vaporizer ARC enemies. Magnetic Accelerators and Shredder Gyros drop from ARC enemies and can be found in ARC loot containers. Total weapon value: 27,500 coins.
The Dolabra is Legendary — no tier upgrades. Blueprint sells for 5,000 coins if you don't want to craft.
